Guided breathing exercises with live heart rate monitoring on Apple Watch. Sleep onset detection catches the creative edge between waking and dreaming.
Spoon runs on Apple Watch for real-time biometric data while you breathe, meditate, or drift to sleep.
Real-time BPM from Apple Watch during every session. Track your average, high, and low across your history.
Start a session from your iPhone. Your watch mirrors it in real-time, streaming heart rate data back to your phone.
ML-powered detection on your watch catches the moment between waking and sleeping — the hypnagogic state.
Sessions never touch your Apple Fitness rings. Health and session data stay on your devices and in your private iCloud sync, while Spoon only sends limited product analytics.
Track your daily practice streak. Review detailed session metrics — duration, heart rate, breathing patterns.
Chain multiple exercises into a single session. Build your own routine and let it flow.
Edison, Dali, and Einstein held an object while drifting off — when it fell, they woke at the boundary of consciousness. Spoon does this with technology.
Your Apple Watch monitors heart rate and motion in real-time using an on-device ML model. When sleep onset is detected, a distinctive haptic wakes you at the hypnagogic state — the creative twilight between waking and sleeping.

When sleep onset is detected, a haptic pattern gently wakes you
Capture the insight from the boundary of consciousness
From structured breathing protocols to silent meditation, with full control over timing and phases.
Rapid breaths, timed retention, recovery cycles
Equal inhale, hold, exhale, hold phases

Balanced 5-second inhale and exhale
Silent mindful timer, 1–60 minutes
Build your own 4-phase breathing pattern
Fixed hold, decreasing rest intervals
Increasing hold, fixed rest intervals
Spoon works best with both devices, but the watch app also runs standalone.

Spoon is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your health and session data stays on your devices and in your private iCloud account. We do not operate our own backend for accounts or health data, and we do not sell your personal information.
Spoon collects limited product usage analytics to help improve the app. Specifically:
Spoon uses Firebase Analytics, a Google service, to measure high-level product usage. This may include screen views, session starts and completions, playlist usage, feature usage, Spoon session summaries, haptic wake events, and app or device context needed to understand how the app is used.
Spoon relies on Apple and Google services for specific parts of the app:
Spoon requests access to HealthKit to read heart rate data during sessions and to write mindful minutes. This data is processed entirely on-device. HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, and workout sessions are always discarded — they do not affect your Activity rings or exercise metrics.
Session history and metrics are stored locally on your device using CoreData and synced across your devices via your private iCloud account (CloudKit). This sync is end-to-end managed by Apple and not accessible to us.
The Spoon sleep onset ML model runs entirely on your Apple Watch. Heart rate and motion data are analyzed in real-time on the device and are never transmitted externally.
Spoon is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
